Payment Policy
Last updated: 13 September 2026
This Payment Policy explains how prices and payments are handled when you shop at Maggie & Claire.
1. Currency and total price
Prices on our Australian storefront are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD) unless clearly stated otherwise. We aim to display the total price clearly. Applicable taxes and any unavoidable charges that we are required to include will be included in or clearly reflected in the amount shown before you complete your purchase.
If your bank, card issuer or payment provider converts a payment from another currency, it may apply its own exchange rate or fee. Those provider charges are outside our control.
2. Accepted payment methods
Depending on your device and checkout availability, we may accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay. The payment methods actually available to you will be shown at checkout.
3. Secure payment processing
Payments are processed securely through Shopify and/or authorised payment providers. Maggie & Claire does not receive or store your full payment-card number. Payment providers may perform their own security, fraud-prevention, authentication or verification checks.
4. Payment authorisation and order confirmation
Submitting an order authorises the relevant payment provider to charge the amount shown at checkout. An order is not finally accepted merely because payment details have been submitted. We may contact you, decline fulfilment, or cancel and refund an order if there is a payment issue, obvious pricing error, suspected fraud, stock problem or another legitimate reason we cannot fulfil the order.
5. Discounts and promotions
Discounts, bundle savings, sale prices and promotional offers are subject to the terms shown with the offer. Unless stated otherwise, multiple promotions may not be combined. If a discount is advertised as automatic, the total shown at checkout after the discount is applied is the amount that will be charged.
6. Failed or incomplete payments
If a payment is declined or checkout does not complete, no order may be created. Check the payment details entered and contact your bank or payment provider if necessary. If you are unsure whether an order was successfully placed, contact us before placing a duplicate order.
7. Refunds
Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method unless another remedy is agreed or required by law. Processing time after we issue a refund depends on your bank or payment provider. Please see our Returns & Refunds Policy for eligibility and return conditions.
8. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy limits any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
